Ask your restaurant anything.

Connect an AI assistant such as Claude to Fresh and ask in plain words: what sold today, what is running low, which dishes nobody orders, which orders were late. It reads the same figures as your screens, and it cannot change a thing.

Questions you can ask

Ask about today, yesterday, the last 7 or 30 days, this week, this or last month, or any dates you name. “Today” is your restaurant’s own day.

The same numbers as your screens

The assistant does no sums of its own. Every answer comes from the same reports as your Reports and Insights screens, so what it tells you always agrees with what you see in Fresh.

Read-only, by design

Nothing the assistant can do changes, adds or removes anything the restaurant sells, cooks or charges. It looks; it never touches. The one thing it may write is a menu draft from photos, which sits apart until a person checks it and adds it.

Never more than the person who connected it

An owner or manager connects it from Settings › AI assistants, signs in as themselves and ticks what it may see: sales, menu, stock, kitchen, floor, purchasing, team, and cash and refunds (which only the owner can share). That is checked again on every question: change their role, take away a section or disconnect it, and the assistant’s access changes on its next question.

It is never given customers’ phone numbers or email addresses, and the team ranking has no pay. Sign-in uses OAuth, and Fresh keeps only a fingerprint of each key, never the key itself.

Your old menu in minutes

Typing in a hundred dishes is the slowest part of changing POS. Instead, photograph your printed menu, menu board or the old system’s item list. Give the photos to your assistant (“put this menu into my POS”), or use Import from photos in the Menu Manager. Fresh turns them into a draft: categories, dishes, descriptions, prices, sizes as a size choice, extras, and dietary and allergen notes. Watch the video.

You check every line

The draft opens on a review screen. Each line is marked new, already on the menu, on the menu at another price or needs a look when a price was hard to read. Add to menu stays off until nothing ticked needs a look, and an existing dish’s price changes only if you tick it. Changed your mind? Undo import works for 24 hours. Watch the video.

Connect it in three steps

  1. In Fresh, Settings › AI assistants shows the address to give your assistant.
  2. In Claude, Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector, and paste it.
  3. Sign in to Fresh, tick what it may see, and press Allow.

It works with Claude on the web, Claude Code and other apps that support MCP connectors. Disconnect it from the same Settings page at any time.

Questions

Can the AI change my prices, stock or orders?

No. The assistant is read-only. The one thing it can write is a menu draft from photos, and nothing from it reaches the till until a person checks it and presses Add to menu.

Which AI assistants work with Fresh?

Claude (on the web or Claude Code) and other apps that support MCP custom connectors. You connect it from Settings › AI assistants.

Can my manager’s assistant see the cash?

Only if the owner shares it. Cash and refunds can only be given by the owner, and an assistant never sees more than the person who connected it can see today.

Does the assistant see my customers’ details?

No. It is not given customer lists, phone numbers or email addresses, and the team ranking has no pay.

What if it misreads a price on my menu photo?

You will see it before anyone is charged. Unclear lines are marked “needs a look”, the menu cannot be added until they are fixed or unticked, and an import can be undone for 24 hours.
